Healthy Diets Information


Own health is for most people still a very central figure. According to recent studies, plays a “healthy diet” in the minds of the people for maintaining the health an equally important role as an overall positive attitude to life “and a happy family life”. But what is “healthy” diet? And it is not often at odds with a positive attitude to life and a happy family life? Means “healthy diet” is not primarily surrender or the choice of foods that are a non-taste? Or vice versa: Is the common food and the pleasure of benefiting from a “healthy diet” is not detrimental? I maintain: No! Healthy eating good food and pleasurable must not ruled out. On the contrary: In the delightful meal, in the perception of food and meals at different sensual levels is not only the root of gourmet, but – not least as a study from the United States shows (The secret of lean people, U.S. 1998) – also an overall healthier dietary behavior. There are indeed critical, pleasure-oriented eater and normal eater, who does not swallow anything, what they will be prefixed, but deliberately choose to change and to their own hunger and satiety evidence based and therefore not only failed to weight problems, but also a whole “healthy” diet.


Food not only assures our survival, it also significantly affects our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Food can prepare and enjoy fun, it can lift our mood and give us joy, but it can also bore us and make sick. Most of us are now in the fortunate situation, food is not only an elementary need, but can be a variety of needs. We can choose between a variety of food, dishes and cooking styles, our personal tastes and preferences indulge our social requirement satisfy. Deficiency diseases due to inadequate nutrition are in many countries for decades of the past. But abundance of food has also created new problems with them, as the steadily rising numbers show of obese children and adults and the increase in nutrition-related diseases (primarily heart disease and cancer). Although health aspects of nutrition has been always a great importance (even if they previously more knowledge based on experience and scientific justifications often remained in the dark), but never before had the theme Healthy Eating such as economic.


Today are always new diet and nutrition adviser to flood the book market, hardly a journal without relevant nutrition column and more or less useful tips for slimming and “real food” from. Even the food industry has long joined this market, promotes their products with health information, offers low-fat products, and offers functional foods specially developed food with an “extra shot health” at. A critical look but makes only too clear that in this field mostly is “healthy” and “unhealthy” foods of speech, of “right” and “wrong” food forms (both in terms the selection and combination of foods as well as the timing of consumption, etc.), rather than the correct dose to be addressed. From the nutritional standpoint, there is no “healthy” or “unhealthy” food (unless they are spoiled, contaminated or incorrectly prepared), basically no “right” or “wrong” food forms, but only a little or a surfeit of certain nutrients and drugs. The nutritionally optimal dose of nutrients and drugs can best be achieved through a diverse, balanced diet and limited volume record, which is based on the food pyramid: When the optimization of individual consumption (based on this Orientation framework) holds it’s own preferences into account and not to hold on prohibitions, because only lunch guarantees with long-term benefit contributes to that diversity in the selection and preparation of foods and dishes in with a nutritionally balanced diet.
