The person who is healthy can do all sorts of work that can’t be done by an unhealthy person and for a person to be healthy he has to adopt a healthy diet. The quality of the food that a person eats contributes to his diet and not the quantity. A healthy person can do his regular duties in time whereas an unhealthy person is not capable of doing his works in time and so he might have to bear a heavy loss. The person who does not take care of his health fails in the long run. There is a saying which goes “Health is wealth”, which means that health is the biggest wealth a person can posses in his life so; it has to be taken care of.
There are certain useful tips for healthy living
1. The most important thing that can be done to keep our self healthy is to have a healthy diet. The maintenance of the diet is not a short term process but is a habit which has to be adopted for whole of the life. Healthy diet is the intake of healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, less amount of fat. There should be the required amount of carbohydrate and if possible it is better to avoid cholesterol. The intake of healthy food provides the body with the required amount of nutrientents.
2. Eating should be done in a relaxed atmosphere so that no problems occur while digestion and the person can have his meal in peace.
3. The meal of a person should comprise of small amount and if required it should be taken frequently whenever you are hungry. The habit of eating three heavy meals a day should be avoided. The breakfast is the most important meal of the day; if you take a good breakfast then it will help in the metabolism.
4. The fibrous food should be taken in abundance. The diet of a person should include fruits and vegetables which help in minimizing the absorption of carbohydrates resulting in the decreased effects on the blood sugar and the insulin. The fibrous foods also contain useful vitamins and minerals and certain plant chemicals which are essential to our body.
5. There must be certain amount of antioxidants in the diet which helps to fight certain cancers.
6. The sugary contents should be limited to certain level. The excessive intake of sugar might raise the sugar level resulting in some diseases like diabetes.
7. The cholesterol should also be cut down because they are harmful to the body and are the root cause of many diseases.
8. The intake of calcium should be adequate as they are very useful to the body as they are the main components which make our teeth and bones healthy.
9. Exercise should be done regularly to keep the body fit. Doing the exercises burns the extra calories and keeps a person fit.
10. The habit of drinking alcohol should be avoided but if not possible then it should be limited to a certain amount.
